Francisca Sibal-Malana

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Francisca Sibal-Malana on June 3, 2024, at the age of 87. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones.

Francisca Sibal-Malana was born on August 6, 1936, in Tuguegarao City to Maria and Jose Sibal. She grew up in Cagayan Valley, Philippines.

Francisca is survived by her sister, Concepcion Sibal-Maddatu, and her children: Leona Malana, Ernesto Malana, Demeeh Malana, Mercy and Jun Mangubat, Danilo Malana, George and Cristina Malana, Cecile and John Calvez, Thea Malana, and Richard and Marlene Malana. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jennifer Laxamana, Gerald Malana, Rolen Tuppil, Marvin Malana, Retsen Joy Malana, Jaymarc Malana, Leyda Agustin, Jhaycee Calvez, Jonathan Calvez, Precious Kaye Malana, Charlene Malana, and Jierah Calvez; and her great-grandchildren: Jeico Laxamana, Bienco Laxamana, Camry Malana, Misha Malana, and Jada Agustin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elpidio Malana.

Francisca was a loving, caring, kind, and generous individual. She was also friendly, humble, and compassionate. She loved spending time with her family, socializing with friends, and had a strong and independent personality. Francisca was passionate about cooking, enjoyed gardening, and was very fond of children, especially her grandchildren.
